Celebration of youth is about honoring the youth in the Lincoln Diocese and those who work with them. The afternoon consists of Mass, dinner, presentation of awards, numerous games for children, and a small talent show!

There are four awards that are given each year. The awards goes to a high school student for outstanding participation in their parish and school youth events, a young adult who has taken an active leadership role in youth events, an adult who has gone above and beyond in helping with the many different youth programs and events, and either a priest or religious who is active with the youth. A committee selects the recipients for the awards from the many nominations that they receive.

The next Celebration of Youth is scheduled for September 24, 2006.
